Fly Swatter X 1.0.2

/oldarchives/flyswat-thumb.png

I heard a fly buzz when it died;
The jelly round its form
Was like the vomit on the stair,
The heaving in the dorm.

The barf beside had wrung them dry,
And RAs were gathering sure
For that last onset, when the bile
Be witnessed in its power.

I willed my swatter, signed away
What portion of me I
Could make assignable — and then
There interposed a fly,

With blue, uncertain, stumbling buzz,
Between the light and me;
And then the windows failed, and then
I could not see to see.

Servaas Doornberg, you can say what you like, but your filthy little game is neither massive nor addictive. Our wildly cackling derision is tempered by the fact that you are Dutch, then untempered by your sworn allegiance to the REALBasic imperialist pig-dogs. Clearly, you must be aware that a broadly splattered 10.5 is your divinely ordained fate.

This program has one conceivable use, and only one conceivable use in my eyes. A training program for servitors programmed for insect killing. How a game could be devised from the ceoncept of swatting flies is a tough, but manageable one, yet I can clearly determine that a failure has occured. This appears to be monotonous and repetitive, as well as unchallenging and should not be performed prior to the consumption of food.
To sum up the above in one word....nasty....
And please no swatting the servo-skulls. They serve a real but unrevealed purpose.

It could have a second use, gathering up dinner for "Fancy Chicken Friday". I'm sure Gretchen might like a pile of tasty flies.

chickens prefer mice......live mice.

I'm a fly! What are you?
Are you a fly, too?
Then there's a pair of us -- don't tell!
They'll splat us -- you know!

How dreary to be Dutch!
How rather like a cog
To sell one's self to the REALBasic
Imperialist pig-dogs!

I thought that Dickenson bitch was dead. If that is not the case, it needs be rectified post-haste.

Laem,
Are you just going to let that smarmy so-and-so get away with just blurting out R***B****? I wouldn't. But I'm tired.

Unfortunetly Nick, I am not at liberty to say when and where Inquisition kill teams are dispatched. Needless to say, however, our replies are swift, strong, silent, short, and accurate. Unlike Bush's military responses....
That and ours feature 8' tall superhuman warriors wearing nigh inpenetrable self powered combat armour featuring neuromusculatre enhancement and armed with .75 caliber automatic rifles with armour penetrating hollow point rounds. Also known as power armour and a bolter.
And thats just the stuff I'm allowed to tell you about....

Posted by: Laemkral on September 8, 2003 04:08 PM

That sound similar to my after school play clothes. Minus the power armor as I have Bracers of Natural Armor +8. That way I get my full Dex bonus to AC as well. Also if I wear armor, there is a a percentage chance that my magic will fail me, and we can't have that. What if I was attacked by a loathsome simian and my Cone of Cold fizzled becasue I can't make my damn d100 roll. Not me my friend. Nuh-uh. Too much DnD....brain malfunctioning....

Didn't Emily Dickenson sing for Iron Maiden?

Posted by: Balthazar on September 8, 2003 08:50 PM

Nick, I have no idea what you are babbling about. Power armour has no effect upon the wearer's dexterity, nor their ability to cast spells. I may not be able to bend backwards in half to dodge bullets, but I really don't need to as those bullets now have about a non existant chance of hurting me, and I can punch through the rear armour of a tank. Not only that but I can see in the dark, view residual thermal images, and detect sounds up to a *CLASSIFIED FOR OPERATIONAL SECURITY* away. A close friend of mine, Inquisitor Lord Soren of the Malleus Division has runes crafted into his armour for enhacing of psychic powers. I'm sure I can "persuade" an Adeptus Mechanicus Magos to do something similar for magic.
Fear not, the Inquisition is here...oh wait, that means you SHOULD fear.

The word "sure" does not rhyme with the word "power". I give your poem an 11.0

Posted by: fuddes on September 8, 2003 09:24 PM

No effect on dexterity, you say? This is good, very good. As you can tell, I have limited experience with armor in general, let alone 'Power' Armor. See to it that your Adeptus Mechanicus Magos works a ittle something up for me, I would be willing to, er, field test it for The Inquisition. The Elders would make a *ahem* "donation" for your efforts. I must say that punching through a tank does have an alluring quality. Perhaps I can get one of our Archmage Trajectileist's to whip a little something up in return.

Please review your order and make sure the contents are correct:
1 Suit of Mk 9 Power Armour w/ helmet and magic enhancing runes
1 Mars Pattern Bolter w/ 5 banana clips
1 servo skull to assist with proprietary technology
Shipping time will take approximately .3 seconds due to teleportation delays. Not responsible for packages lost in the Warp.

Hey! Five of my banana clips are missing!

Posted by: Dr. Science on September 9, 2003 07:22 AM

This shipment is of the highest quality. Commend your Adeptus for me on the craftmanship. As for you Mr. Science, those are my banana clips now, so unless you want .75 caliber bolt in thine ass, be gone.
