Carefully crafted to displease, Jérôme Lebel’s JetClock has been agonizing users for over three years. Cunningly, JetClock manages to overwrite the entire widget area of the menu bar, while only leaving a portion of Apple’s original menu bar clock visible. In the process of obscuring this portion of the menu bar, it also replaces it with slightly darker colored stripes. Baron von Steuben would have been proud.
Featuring one of the most obscure interfaces yet seen, JetClock never ceases to amaze. When option-clicked, JetClock moves into the far upper right corner, making all but the “day of week” portion of the clock invisible. But woe be upon you should you choose to option-drag this clock, since it can be easily dragged off the menu bar, and into oblivion. This matter is not helped by JetClock’s habit of automatically inverting the coordinates at which you drop the clock, thereby quickly placing the clock offscreen. If only this clock could — on its way off the screen — produce a poof animation, it would be a kindness to us all.
Double-clicking, in intuitive fashion, produces a small and entirely useless calendar window. By control-clicking, you may succeed in producing a menu, which will be almost impossible to navigate, due to System-supplied menu extras popping up their own menus at the same time. Now, I do grant that it is conceivably possible to open the preferences dialog, and numerically adjust the position of the clock until it is out of harm’s way. But why?
Although we can forgive JetClock slightly, as it has not seen updates in over two years, it is still more useless than an ineptly bloviating Reedie, and hence earns a perfect 11.

What i do not understand is the need for multiple applications to place a clock in the menu bar.
The OS comes with one.
It tells the time.
It tells you what day it is.
Do these people need multiple clocks?
Are they creating these just to be contrary?
What's my point? This review could have been a lump review of all the thrid part clock apps.
